Enrichment Classes

Beginnings Learning Center offers a variety of enrichment classes throughout the week. Classes are offered once a week for an 8 week session.

Creative Movement for Preschoolers: This class is geared to our 2 and 3 year olds. Artistic Playground’s creative movement class structure uses colorful props, imagery and music to encourage children to express themselves through movement. Personal expression and creativity is achieved through the teachings of movement skills, rhythm, and introductions to basic ballet and gymnastic positions. Studies have proved movement classes to aid in flexibility, balance, grace, social skills, and motor skills.

Royal Ballet: This class is offered to children ages 3 and up. This class is a wonderful way to introduce the world of creative dance, while also allowing the child to build motor skills, reflexes, balance, grace, and coordination. In addition, whimsical props, costumes and face painting are always used in this magical class. Children as young as 3 years old may participate. Ballet shoes are recommended but optional.

Yoga 4 Kids: This class is geared to our 4 and 5 year olds. Relax and unwind in this nontraditional and imaginative yoga class created especially for kids. In this class, children will learn basic yoga poses while improving flexibility, breathing, and relaxation techniques.

Group Piano Class: Piano classes are for students ages 4 and up. This class is offered through our music program “Music N’ Motion”. This class is taught in a group setting with up to 8 students. Kids Music N’ Motion brings in 8 keyboards and teaches the children basic note recognition, finger placement, keyboard scales and ear training. Introduction to basic songs, singing and music games are also incorporated in this class.
